well honey, because they's stuff is cheap! sorry but the products that they sell are usually cheaply made. so say you buy something there for $5 it probably cost them like $1 or $2 to mkae that it a factory somewhere. i know it sucks but thats the way it is! this has happened to me countless times. good for you for going and trying to get you money back. i just always accepted it and threw my stuff out when it broke since i was too lazy to back to the mall. but good luck, start getting your accessories elsewhere.:)

It hasnt happen to me yet, but I did buy a pair of gold earings and I wore them once and they are all tarneshed and look horrible now. I bought the earings, a braclet and toe rings and they all did the same. It cost me about $40 so I was a little pissed when only after one day they looked like crap. I would be mad too especially when they didnt even give you store credit. Did they think you broke them on purpose? What a rip!

Well, the way I see it is that you get what you pay for. I mean buy 2 pairs of earrings and get the 3rd free. So you only pay like $12 for 3 pairs. They make it cheap so you can get it cheap.

Sorry to say but their stuff is made cheaply - I mean they cater to the younger crowd. I guess you get what you pay for, but actually a lot of their stuff is very over priced for the bad quality that you get.

it's not exactly high quality stuff at Claires.... You'd be better off buying stuff elsewhere... Hairclips and accessories -- they break regardless of where you buy them.

Nope, it has never happened to me. I love to shop at Clairs.. Nothing that I have bought there has ever broken.
