Jesus, why bother answering this question if you're not going to do the simple freaking calculation? Here:

Area of Texas is 268,581 square miles. Assuming 6 billion people, that's 22,340 per square mile; this means each person gets 1248 square feet, which is about the size of a respectable apartment. So, yes, you could fit everyone in the world quite comfortably in Texas.

population of the word = ~6,653,000,000 people
size of texas = 163696 sq miles

So if everyone in the world was living in texas, and spread out roughly evenly, the population desity would be about 40,000 people per square mile. This is higher than the pop density of NYC as a whole but less than that of Manhattan.

So, yeah, if texas was all one big city, about as dense as new york is now, everyone could live there simultaneously.

Just not sure why they'd want to....

27,878,400 square feet in a square mile

268,581 square miles in texas

thats 7,487,608,550,400 (7.487 _trillon_) square feet in texas

divided by 6 billion people leaves us _only_ 1247.9 square feet per person... thats almost twice the size of my apartment.. of course, some people would be living on lakes and rivers and such, but nevertheless. another simple computation that shows just how big this world is -- and how small "we" are..

Everyone on the planet can fit in Texas if you don't care how close you are together. If you put everyone face down, cover the ground from boarder to boarder, put them on every possible space in a house, on every floor in a building, and then stack people on top of those people, and you would have plenty of room for the over 6 billion people on this planet.

That depends on how many people are living in the world right know............lets say their are 6 billion people or so...............

next we need to know the size of Texas to calculate this so............................I think its somewhere around 200-400 miles square so that equals to 160000 square miles. Divide that among 6 billion people recalculate for each person- and you should get your awnser

A Texan was visiting New York City.

A New Yorker asked him, "So, what do you think of all the skyscrapers we have here?"

"Heck, son," said the Texan, "back in Texas, we got outhouses as big as them!"

"Yeah," the New Yorker replied, "You need 'em!"

This isn't really an answer to your question, but I couldn't help thinking of it. :?)
