Taking off and landing.
Providing its a smooth flight, I can kid myself I am on a tube train or something, but if its hitting air pockets, I do a white knuckle ride!
Landing is worse to me then taking off, it seems to slowdown and hover, and I keep waiting for rit to drop out of the sky.
I have flown around the world several times, its been a means to an end, I do not enjoy it at all.

Take off is the most scary followed by landing. Mid air is spent planning my escape route in case we crash.

2) during mid air. Which I know is the safest but also tends to be the bumpiest.

For me it's the being closed in. I panic when people are boarding or getting off as the space gets smaller. Also mid air as I know that all that's keeping me up, is the tin can that I'm in.

Since last November when i went on holiday i've flown from the UK to New Zealand and back, The USA (Boston) and this weekend i'm off to Kenya, so thats around 42000 miles in less than a year, its statistically the safest way to travel and its a proven fact that you are more likely to get killed on the way to the airport than being in a plane crash.
Its my favourite way to get around.

I'm always afraid of the landing..you know like the landing gear not coming down or something like that.

When I fly, and being in an airport setting itself scares me, but when i take off and when you land, are the scariest parts, what i do is pray the rosary while we are taking off and landing, i don't know if your religious or anything but it helps me

For me number 1 cos the plane is full of fuel.

I am most uncomfortable landing, and I really hate hospitals.
It seems most unatural to be up there, in the air.
But it sure saves time getting from place to place, especially where we live.
