Does anyone know about saging your home and/or your self?

If you have it as a bundle and want to do yourself, light it and let it flame for a min. (depends on how dry it is) then blow it out, it will start to smoke then. Move the sage in a clock wise direction around you stating at your feet and working up, as you do this you can say your favorite prayer/chant/blessing, etc.
When you feel cleansed and refreshed you then can do your house..walking into each room making sure to get each corner, while saying prayer/chant/blessing. Repeat for every room in the house. Is advisable to have the window closed so you keep the sage smoke in the rooms.
When you are done go and open/crack the window or windows to what ever degree you feel is necessary.
White Sage (broad white leaves)is the best to use in my opinion.
So called kitchen sage (kind you cook with) is not considered sacred sage. Another way to do it is put some in a Abalone Shell, (other kinds of shells can not handle the heat sage generates so be care full what you put it in ) and light it and do as stated above.
Hope this explains it, many different ways, to do sage blessings. This is one way I have done it for many years. Oh one more thing is a good idea to make sure you have a good positive state of mind, and are not angry/mad/ etc. with anyone

uhm these answers are correct but before you go to your kitchen cupboard and pull down a bottle of sage, you need to know the best way is to get bundled and tied sage often called smudge wands. when tied in a smudge stick fashion its much easier to do what you want with it. it is made that way for that purpose. if you have a garden and grow your own sage do your best to clump it together still on the plant, tie it then let it dry. if you light it let it burn for a second then blow it out so that there are some red burning parts those will smoke, that smoke is very useful in loosening negative energy from objects. it helps if you also say out loud "i command all negative energy be gone from this place, that only positive good energy remains." the command sends the loose negative energy away from the area you loosened it from. its like a duster, you brush it off whatever you smudged it from but without the command it stays right there or attaches to something else. hope this helps

Yes, it's called smudging. Some use sage or sweetgrass or both. Most ppl just use a stick of it to wave in their house, starting in one corner and working around the room, then moving on to another room. As for smuding an individual, sprinkling sage on burning charcoal (in a censor) and waving a fan, your hand, etc over it till you feel you have covered yourself with it.
