So far as I know, the way this has gone is the bigger the star your dad was, the less likely you'll make it yourself.
David Flair, son of Rick. Only worked in WCW because of his dad.
Dustin Rhodes/Runnels, son on Dusty. Only made it big as Goldust.
David Sanmartino, son of Bruno. Short lived stay in WWF/E.
Sure, the Rock, but his father, and even his grandfather, were never the huge stars ala the above mentioned fathers.
Carlito is said to be second generation, but his father was strictly in the Carribean feds.
Road-dog, Jesse James Armstrong, what ever he's calling himself in TNA. Do you even know who 'Bullet' Bob Armstrong is? Strictly a independent circuit legend, nothing more.

No, Nick could be worse than his dad. Hogan was not a great wrestler, but a great showman. That's what fans love about him. He entertained the crowds. Nick will never achieve the status of Hogan. He will never have the gimmick and the fame of his pops!

He hasn't got a typical wrestling physique, and has little or no wrestling skill, not to mention the fact that he would have almost overwhelming footsteps to follow his Dad.
He should've started training years ago in all honestly if this is the case that he wants to be a wrestler.

His dad is kind of horrible, i predict him to be worse than him. I hope he is not going to be successful and that he will just go into movies or something, somewhere where i wont see him.

No doubt he would get star treatment but he would be laughed at by the fans and not taken seriously

his dad is a great wrestler and if he gets help from his dad he will do great in the wwe
