The turnout for General Elections is usually 55 - 65 %. For EU elections is about 25 - 30% and for Council Elections even lower.

I think it was about 59% in 2001 and 2005; in some constituencies less than half of eligible voters bothered. Perhaps the figure will rise if the outcome of the next election or the one after that is less of a foregone conclusion.

I do,we all should.millions of people died in world war 1 and ww2.to give us a chance to vote,if anything vote out of respect for the people that died for us to be free and have a choice.

Getting lower each year as people become wise to the fact that what the hell is the point? Who ever gets in will rape the working man!!! And the youth of today will be voting for the more controversial parties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
