I think that the more likely truth is that "You think...you always get your job done very well." The truth of the matter is that you probably are not performing your job as well as you think. This is not with standing the fact that by going to work while "wasted" not only puts you at danger, but your co-workers as well. I would hope that you could consider the fact that you are not the only person that matters in the world and as such you should try to be more responsible with your drinking/drug use habits. I am sure that you already know better, so maybe you should practice what you intuitively know.

No, of course it's not cool. I did it once, quite by accident (famous last words), went to the washroom, threw up and stank of alcohol. Luckily, I'm typically a goody-two-shoes so no one suspected. It makes a great story though.

its okay so long as your not going to be driving / operating machinery or putting anyone at danger. if your just sitting at a desk in some big building doing some lame paperwork and nobodys going to notice then go for it. just dont get caught.
