Not only living in the Middle East, but living in the US as well. Just because they live here doesn't mean they don't hate it, and I will believe that until I hear someone, anyone, from that community come out against the extremists.

In my experience, peoples of other nations are not as obsessed about money as Americans can be, but, I do think there is resentment among the people of the mid-east towards Americans, and more generally, the west. Part of this resentment stems from Israel, but, also, the middle eastern nations had a proud heritage, they were the pinnacle of enlightenment until the 15th century or so. They were leaders in philosophy, the arts, the sciences, and in commerce for a thousand years or more. The west then became the strongest in these cultural areas while middle eastern nations too a back seat. Militarily, the 17th century spelled the doom of the mid east. Now, they demand recognition based on pride, and, have wrapped this racial pride around religion, and, well, we are at odds. God help us all...

Yes, it's true. It is also true that many Muslims who are not terrorists love America and risk life and limb every day to help us win them their freedom from the jihadists who have brought war onto their lands.

In order for some to answer that accurately they would have to take a poll of every single muslim person in the middle east.

i am egyptian and i dont hate american people
i hate american government
american people are too nice and love all not all americans full of hate to muslimes they r few but most of americans are lovely
i know its not war against islam , but islam used as a reason for another objective
which is
1) control the sources of oil in this area which represent the main ecomonic source to all countries in the world
2) another objective serve both america and israel
destroy any new power appear in the area
so how they can make war with this reasons
so they used religion because its fast enter to hearts

Yes, but most of them are undeucated and extremely ignorant. I believe the only way to a mutual respect is through education. The only people there who speak their mind are power-hungry tyrants thirsting for total control of the ignorant masses.

We are considered "evil." I think it is a statement of their opinion of our morality...

There are also alot of bad feelings about our support of Israel, but I think it is a mistake to engage Islam in a "religious war."

Those are un-winnable for ANYONE, except maybe in the after-life...

I wonder why they may feel that way. hmmmm. It's not just middle easterners and Muslims though. Much of the world is disgusted with America and its policies.
