Plenty of times; and to be honest, I was let down plenty of times too by those people, but I there were many other times I wasn't let down and I got to see a wonderful person rise. I don't go by what others might think of someone; I go by what I see in someone.

Yes. At work. She got blamed for something her boss did and everyone else ostracized her because of it. I refused to listen until I heard her side which I suspected anyway and she told me the truth. It took a month before the real truth came out but boy were the rest mean to her till then. She was so gracious, too, in forgiving everyone and not to brag, she told everyone that I was the only one who believed her. I knbow if the time arrived that she would have my back, too.

Yes. In fact, my family took him in and he became my "adopted brother", as he coined it. He has seen gone missing for almost 2 years, and I miss him dearly.
