I drink a lot of water, and i sleep in the 'fetal' side position. I think that this position may contrict my bladder and make me feel the need to urinate in the middle of the evening moreso than sleeping on my back. I drink a lot of water but I try to slow down before bedtime.

You probably should stop drinking water after 7. If you still have this problem after you do that, you should get your prostate checked.

Drinking before going to bed could be the reason, provided of course you have a small bladded. Water is usually absored and ready for disposal after 20 minutes from drinking time. Since you drink the water before you sleep, then I find it a bit weird that you have to go several times!!

Sleeping position is not very relevant to your little problem, so disregard this.

How old are you? if you are over 30, I would go check your prostate gland. Going to the bathroom a lot is one of the first signs there is something wrong with the prostate gland. Perhaps you should consider a prostate check.

Avoid caffeine as this is a diuretic- makes you pee more.
If the urination is disturbing your sleep you should go the doctor and get it checked out. It could be diabetes kidny disease or a troublesome prostrate

when you gotta go, you gotta go, but if you need to know, see a doctor.

diabetes is associated with frequent urination, but you shouldn't live with that cloud, get checked out so you know.
