this guy that is selling it to me will install it for free on my car as well, and i am not looking for much of a hp gain from this. he also offered $125 for axle back and the midpipe. what should i do?
BTW, i just want my wrx to sound good and that is why i`m getting this muffler. i think it's cheap.

Yeah, its worth the $100. Its going to give you a little boost in hp but not much. Because its a more free flowing exhaust, it will have a deeper tone and the turbo will spool a little faster. I personally love the way the STI's sound, if you can spare maybe $500-$600 you can get a full 3" which will give you an extremely deep exhaust note and allow the turbo to spool almost instantaneously.

It is cheap, the WRX is a beast - and needs to be respected like one. You don't need a "fart can" on one of those.

If you're going to do your car a solid, get new headers - get rid of the manifold, and go full Exhaust with something like Borla or Flowmaster - that would sound REALLY nice!

If the unit is genuine and in good shape and the guy is going to install it properly, that is a very good price.
