Purchase an Epson, something like a C48. Do NOT buy a Lexmark; they are poor quality and the cartridges cost a fortune. With Epson the cheap compatible cartridges are readily avaialble and are a fraction of the price of the real Epson ones; they work just as well. Lexmark compatible cartridges are much harder to come by.

My printer is a Lexmark it wasnt expensive and its never gone wrong. The most expensive part of a printer is the ink cartridges they cost a fortune to replace.

If you are only using it occasionally and not doing anything complicated just buy the cheapest one in the shop. I did that and its still working several years later without a problem.
