I"m looking for a printer, for very occasional use. Can anyone suggest one for a reasonable price. Thanks in anticipation.

Purchase an Epson, something like a C48. Do NOT buy a Lexmark; they are poor quality and the cartridges cost a fortune. With Epson the cheap compatible cartridges are readily avaialble and are a fraction of the price of the real Epson ones; they work just as well. Lexmark compatible cartridges are much harder to come by.

My printer is a Lexmark it wasnt expensive and its never gone wrong. The most expensive part of a printer is the ink cartridges they cost a fortune to replace.

Lexmark printers have lasted longer than most other brands I've come across.

If you are only using it occasionally and not doing anything complicated just buy the cheapest one in the shop. I did that and its still working several years later without a problem.
