It is as if the liberals want to "trick" us into admitting that our logic is flawed if we happen to be pro life and favor the death penalty. To a foggy minded liberal the only real sins are hypocrisy and tobacco.

I will do it one more time so the liberals can understand, in as simple form as possible.

In a nutshell, innocent babies=good murders=bad kill murders they will not murder again kill babies and they will do nothing ever

I do not believe in the death penalty. But I am pro-life. Except that I do think that in the case of whether the mother's life depends on it, abortion should be an option in the first trimester. If a mother has other children especially, how can you orphan them? I also believe the morning after pill is okay, since the cells aren't even done dividing before it would be taken. If someone was raped, this should be a choice offered them, but even in cases of birth control failure, I think it's okay. What I really have a problem with is late term abortions, when the fetus is just as likely to survive outside the womb, and if they just delivered it (instead of aborting it grotesquely), it could survive. So if a mother's life were threatened, deliver the baby, or do a c-section. Women in comas have given birth to premature babies, and both have survived. There is no reason for abortion in late pregnancy, unless a woman wants to shirk her responsibility. If you can make a baby, you should be prepared to bring it into the world. Otherwise, close your legs. My close friend had a baby at 26 weeks pregnancy, 26 weeks! before the cut-off for a partial birth abortion. The baby's name is Brendan, he's 6 and just started 1st grade. He is a wonderful little boy. He was an unintended pregnancy, had she changed her mind, and not gone into early labor, he could of been a victim of partial birth abortion. He didn't even stay in the hospital for a month. He is healthy and smart, and beautiful. That's why I could never support all abortion, and why I remain pro-life. But the death penalty is wrong, and I've often questioned other pro-lifer's attitudes torward it. How can you say it is wrong to play god, and decide whether a child lives or dies, and then it is okay to do it, even though the lives in question are convicted murderers? I was taught 2 wrongs don't make a right. So state-sanctioned murder (the death penalty) does not cancel out a murderers crimes, and it is not justified by them. Besides, prison is worse than death. For those conservatives that are religious, four words: Thou shalt not kill

I am a pro-lifer and not a big proponent of the death penalty (I have a problem justifying taking anyone's life).

Although, I have to say this - there is a distinct difference between protecting an unborn child and someone that is on death row.

An unborn child has no protection at all from a mother that would choose to kill her child - it is up to mankind to protect an innocent child from death. If the baby could speak for itself - don't you know it would choose life - just as all mentally sound people do.

A person that receives the death penalty has committed murder and they made the choice to take someones life and when they do that they are accepting the consequences of their actions.

There is a difference between a person committing an act knowing that the consequences might be their own death and the termination of a baby that has never done anything wrong. While I am not 100% in favor of the death penalty, sometimes I think they should be made to think about their crime for the rest of their life behind bars,if they have a conscience.I do believe that life begins at conception.

Funny, I haven't seen that yet. I would be answering that one everytime I saw it. Simply put, the criminal has proven themselves a danger to society and it's safer for everyone else to put that person down. Can't think of anything more logical than that. And killing the unborn child just because it's inconvenient for you to carry it to full term and put it up for adoption is just evil. I can't even fathom how others think otherwise.
