I think so. I mean, they are called 'Music Television', aren't they? I hate all the shows they have-especally the O.C. and Laguna Beach. I use to live in Orange County and that show is packed with lies and I get so annoyed by it! The only show I like is 'Wild N' Out' but they can put that on BET(Black Entertainment Television) or something. They need more variety in the videos too: Hip-Hop, Rap, Rock, And A Little Alternative. What do you think? Do you agree or disagree and why?

MTV is why the terrorists hate us. Its why there are school shootings. Its why the religious right is growing stronger.
These are the shows children watch, they portray children with adult themes. No wonder child pregnancy is on the rise here.
BOYCOTT MTV....only watch MTV Hits on channel 188 on optimum

Yes, other wise it isn't music television. I think that their attempts to reach out to a new younger audience has cost them. . . Obviously not as much because they're still shuffling through varieties and teen dramas. Now they don't even show the entire video on most of the countdowns ---if there are any. Music videos on MTV are sadly enough what once used to be.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I hate MTV now, whereas I used to love it. I can never find videos on there anymore, and I thought that was the whole point of the network to begin with? I loved the 80's with the VJ's, and when the show Remote Control was a rare treat. Now, it's all half naked people and stupid shows. Bring back the videos and make the shows the rarity!

I don't mind a couple of prime-time shows on MTV. But, they have too many shows and not enough music. And when they do show videos (TRL), they don't show the whole video, just a snipit. Their shows are getting raunchy and predictable (sex and fights and cursing make up 90% of the show). Pimp My Ride and Parental Control are good shows. Next is OK sometimes.
Yes, MTV needs to play more M and less TV.

Yes, I think so. But I'm an old fuddy duddy. I graduated from high school the year MTV went on the air and we were all blown away by it. Now, it's just a bunch of boring crap that you can see on practically any channel.

MTV blows chunks anymore. Back when they started out, they played music 24/7, but now they have all these stupid reality TV shows. If you want music videos, you have to get it from either VH1 or MUN2.
