Because people kept going. I can assure you that if they weren't profitable, they would have stopped long ago.

So children everywhere would bug their parents bonkers to buy these movies & make a huge profit. Ya gotta give it to them... Disney may have started the phenomenon, but everyone else knows a savy capitalistic deal when they see one!... Even if all parents go broke trying to make Little Johnny or Janey Happy.
