Okay, so this has bugged me since I was a kid.
God apparently created everything in 7 ( or 6 ) days, because he rested too, correct?
So he made the heavens and water, humans and ANIMALS etc..

So according to scientific research... the first known "humans" around were about 4-5 million years ago.

And according to scientifc research the dinosaurs died out about 65 million years ago.

So, were humans chillin' out with the dino's?

About the dino's, there is a couple of theories about the age of the earth. There is a theory called the Gap theory. This was to have happened between Genesis 1 and 2, between that time some say that millions and millions of years had passed. That would explain the time of the dinosaurs and what science keeps finding that from their point is dated millions of years ago. The problem with that, is the first time that animals died was when God gave Adam and Eve clothing to cover themselves. Animals had to be killed to provide that, so many creation scientists discount the Gap theory since their was no evidence that animals died that time and dinosaurs would have had to have died by then.

good question, i always wondered that myself, i dont really know, there is a bit of a gap between when the dinos died out and humans appeared. According to the bible, there is reference in the book of job about job and his family living with Leviathon ( very large animal). It is said that leviathon had legs the size of the cedars of lebanon. Thats pretty big!

as for the 6 day creation and 7th day of rest, might just be a symbolic thing. A day to god is probably not in the same concept as we know it. one day could equal a million years. Or it might mean that we should work for 6 days and then on the 7th take a break.

You know how people say god has a weird sense of humor? They're right. God didn't create dinosaurs, he just planted fossils all over the place to f*ck with paleontologists.

Okay, when the Bible talks of days, these are days to God. They are more like phases. think in terms of a day meaning a great many years. That might solve you confusion- best wishes.

Origins are not an integral part of Christian faith.
Genesis is not needed to get into Heaven.
Believe what you want on this matter.
But know that Jesus rose from the dead, that he loves you personally, and that he can do the same for you if only you should ask him.

Instead of going into unknown regions, you should be thanking God for his goodness. He rested on the seventh day, therefore the Sabbath was created for mankind to take a rest from their daily toil and give praise and thanks to God.
