.......When they said that Iraq and 9-11 were not at all related?
And why was it that Bush had to come out and say it outright that they had nothing to do with each other, but only after public polls taken showed that so many believed this to be true?
Did Fox news have something to do with this, and also was it the way Bush and Rumsfeld's speeches were worded?
And why now do so many people deny that so many believed this?
Are they now saying that it is the lib/dems who fell for it, not the conservative Fox watchers?

LOL...I'm just laughing at the guy who said "What conservative said 9/11 and Iraq were connected?"

Bush basically pushed an agenda that he'd been cooking up well before 9/11, as is pretty well-known at this point. He exploited the opportunity presented by the terrorist attacks to play with his new toys and secure some oil. And you know, from an American perspective, that might've worked out alright, except that his administration was utterly inept at planning out an effective war strategy - as we've seen. Now we're dealing with the fallout. And, of course, we've now learned that the Iraq War is definitely causing more problems than it's solving on the terrorist front, and the whole debacle has drained our military resources to the effect that we're no longer in any real position to take on other, probably more legitimate, threats.

Vote me down if you want, con groupies, but the fact that you can sit there and say "no conservative said there was a connection between 9/11 and Iraq" is mind-numbingly, laughably ridiculous.

Oh, your poor dear--- here's a tissue for you .... And Ted Turner said Fox News Channel would never make it, and now it's the most watched cable news channel in America. I know I watch it for the "fair and balanced" news.

And By the Way, I don't think you will ever find a conservative that says 9/11 and Iraq aren't connected. You are truly a confused individual. Maybe you should start watching Fox News Channel to get your facts right. Try it, You might Like It.

The only people I hear making that comparison are liberals. I never heard Bush say that we were going to Iraq because Iraq did 9/11. I heard Bush say that we were going to Iraq because Saddam refused to live up to the cease fire after Desert Storm (the same reason that Clinton gave for firing cruise missiles into Iraq). Did you know that we still have soldiers stationed in Germany and Japan? It's been more than 60 years since WWII ended. Why do we still have soldiers there?

You're preaching to the liberal choir, sister!

I think Bush does whatever he wants to do (or whatever he's *told* he wants to do) and he does it as long as people support him in it. Then, when public opinion changes, all of a sudden he's like, "cut and run! That sounds like a good idea!" and, "I knew all along that 9/11 and Iraq weren't related!" But that's what happens when you're a fool with no morals. Basically, he just goes where the wind blows him because he has no sense of right and wrong and...no sense in general. That's it! He has no sense!

I never fell for it! I never thought the two were related. Perhaps I'm being far too paranoid, but I always thought that Bush, Sr. left the Iraq war unfinished so whatever dipsh!t son of his got into politics would have a convenient war to wage in case things got hairy at home. But Bush, Jr. screwed up the war his daddy left for him. Thanks, kid! Real proud of ya!

... see this is the trick... no one really "comes out and says it"... they just constantly allude to it... they use the ideas together in a sentence... like "do you remember 9-11, if you do, then why do you want to pull out of Iraq"... THAT'S A BLATANT ATTEMPT AT A LINK, while not actually linking them...

last time I noticed a poll on the issue, like 30 percent of America thought Iraq had something to do with 9-11... they aren't just pulling that idea out of the air...

all they are doing is playing the middle on the issue... alluding to it being linked, so that many people "fill in the blanks"... while not actually saying it, so those people who do know what is going on, won't call them out on it....

What conservative said 9/11 and Iraq was connected?

No conservative I've heard said there was an Iraq connection to 9/11. And to "notme": an "Iraqi connection to the terrorist network" does not equal "Iraqi connection to 9/11".

I've never thought there was a connection between Iraq and 9/11, nor have I ever felt anyone was trying to convince me of that.

With the daily dose of lies coming out of the White House for the past 5 years along with FAUX news why does any of this surprise you? It is everyones fault except the morons who back this king of fools. Now they are turning everything backwards, by October 2007 they will all be saying the Democrats wanted to go to Iraq not us. Yeah. yeah, yeah!
