That is sooo silly. I don't think we can equate this to Indian culture....this is simply foolishness being sent out for all to see. Well I guess it is good for a laugh and laughter rocks.

Of course you can't brand a whole culture as silly and funny! The arts/entertainment of any culture can seem very foreign to outsiders. I wonder what reality TV would look like in many places of this world? (Not that I'd really call that art or entertainment, but a lot of Americans watch the stuff.)
Bollywood is a HUGE producer of films--millions of people watch these films all over the world. You may find them funny, but you don't know what's being said, you don't understand the music or the dancing. Be careful not to ridicule things you don't understand--Americans often expect other people to understand our culture, but that respect and understanding must be a two-way street!

No, Bollywood is outrageous and over the top, but that is not Indian culture, if you are interested do some real research on India's history and Hinduism, India's culture is not silly or funny at all.

Thats what is silly. Going by your logic that should make your culture funny and silly and you dont even know it.

No culture, if you choose to call it culture, can be silly. It's pure contradiction in terms. Unless, maybe, in one of those lighter moments, you were actually thinking of "agriculture or horticulture!"
