i play softball i can hit and catch good but when i run my upper front theigh cramps but doesnt go away like cramps and stays sore any good segguestions to help fast have big game friday take in mind im not a young chic but 40

First of all, lay off the softball until it heals. Then strengthen those areas with more strength training so that the muscles can withstand the workout. Increase the calcium, magnesium and potassium that you are getting as well.
And the cold hard fact of the matter is you are 40. At 40 man can not do as much as he can when is 20 no matter what kind of shape you are in.

Maybe some good old-fashioned Ben Gay.

Also, some exercising on an elliptical bike/trainer will keep get your legs in shape without causing a lot of extra stress.
