How easy or hard is it to replace track lighting with pendant lighting?

Do not play with electricity unless you are an electrician. You need to know how to secure the support boxes AND not kill yourself ( or burn down your house ) while working with the wiring.

Very easy. You only have one place where the wiring comes to the track light system. Any other places that damage the ceiling are from attachments. Just plaster over.
