How do you delete past web search sites?

How do you delete past web search sites when you no longer want them to appear in the web search box when you put in a letter?

Go to VIEW and pick Internet Options. Then click on the CONTENT page. Click on AutoComplete then click CLEAR FORMS.

If you go back to the GENERAL page, you can Delete Cookies and Delete Files to get rid of crap that you don't need. If you use Clear History, then the old website addresses don't come up.

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you see a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.
The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.

on your browswer.....Tools--->internet options---> delete history............ deleting cookies is also a good idea, and deleting temp files every couple months isnt a bad idea either....but then when u delete temp web pages you visit a lot will load a little slower then next time you visit them...then it will return to normal. ( it deletes the saved pics, vids, layouts for web pages, etc.)

You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.

You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history. Follow this path also. Pencil> toolbar options> uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history> ok.

To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.

Go to your control panel, then internet options. It will ask to delete temp. e-mail sites, clear cookies and clear history. You cn also set up how often you want to clear your history.
