The majority?
I suspect it is just a few LOUD, belligerent people making all the hate-related noise.

Do we ignore them and hope they slither back under the rock where they live?

Do we out them and call them for what they are, and laugh at their narrow-minded ways?

Do we follow suit and call them names?

Well, I generally lose my ambivalence towards people when they attack my country and kill my fellow countrymen. I call it an 'earned' distrust and rightful anger against them. Right now, it is up to Muslims to earn back my trust and good graces.

But it's not just religions. I feel the same with the Mexican illegals who paraded around the streets of my country waving their tri-colored buzzard flags around and telling me to go to hell because they're going to break my laws and do as they please. Talk about a sympathy-killing action. They lost any support I might have had for them.

Intolerance is sad, but I think it stems more from fear than outright hatred.

They feel so insecure about themselves, they can only feel good by persecuting other people who are different.

Because we are a Christian country.

Peace be with you.
