There isn’t any inconsistency; in the 1st case the “sufferer” ie the unborn did no longer something incorrect, there replaced into never an ordeal, a decide, or lawyer to seem out for the superb interest of the unborn baby. in the 2nd case the dying penalty, there replaced right into a path, a decide, a lawyer who regarded out after the rights of the defendant, then there are computerized appeals, and appeals after that, so in the 1st case you have somebody who did no longer something incorrect, who never had an ordeal, who never have been given an attraction, and in the 2nd case you have some who did some thing incorrect, who had an ordeal, who get countless appeals. So no inconsistencies. people who kill or help the killing see it as saving the lives of the unborn, and that they could desire to and have been held in charge their action. yet they see it as conserving the existence of somebody who can not safeguard themselves. To them it comparable to killing somebody who walks right into a school and initiate taking photos people, kill the shooter and safeguard the harmless.

Whoever said that no one can play GOD they are right because no one can do the amazing things He does. They probably believe in it because they are the reason why the death penalty was created. Not saying they all deserve to die, but the things they do make them deserve it.

Because it is the difference between justice and injustice. Killing someone is murder. God even gave the law to Moses and in that law he said that you should not murder and the consequence for taking a life is severe. An eye for an eye.... A tooth for a tooth.... A life for a life. God said that the punishment for the action should fit the crime.
God values life but there are consequence for sin.

Maybe they believe that babies are innocent and killers are guilty.

Before you condemn my answer, remember that you asked why.

Personally, I think that it was summed up pretty nicely in the movie "The Lord of the Rings". It hadn't occurred to me at the time but later I thought it was a good bit of logic. Gandalf, the wizard, says something like: "Many who live deserve death, and many who are dead deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then don't be so quick to deal out death as punishment." He was talking about the frog guy Gollum.

It still seems like a good philosophy.

uh.. i think it has to do with the fact that a baby has no real control over being "penalized" other than it's being born.

someone on death row KINDA sort did something wrong, against the law, etc etc.....and went thru trial, and jury, and judgement, and allowed to prove innocence before guilt.... it's not perfect, but it's a system. and thru all that, if that person is Guilty of doing SOMETHING, there is some kind of punishment involved...

being born is not the baby's fault...

(btw im not really sure what i am for or against on either subject, but this is how i see it from their point of view).

I am pro life and against the death penalty. In my opinion there are other ways to punish murderers and people that commit violent/sick crimes.

The "playing God" thing is a big, fat excuse. They are all mad cause some chick goes out and gets it on.

They are brutal people with no empathy who would chop off the hands of people accused of stealing and stone to death women who are pregnant "out of wedlock".

They worship force and control of people. They have no life and are insanely jealous that other people are getting laid and having a good time and it p i**es them off.

I personally couldn't care less if Michael Jackson teleported into outer space. But you get around one of these f *cks and thats all they will talk about.

"Did you see Michael in court?" "I wouldn't let that freak around my kids." "Can you believe that Michael?" "I think they out to execute people like Michael Jackson!"

Their whole life is spent with their nose up some preachers butt or in a bible or watching court tv. SICK SICK SAD PSYCHOS!!

People who believe in the death penalty believe in punishment. For something the person did (murder), they should die (eye for eye, tooth for tooth in bible).

Abortion is different because the life being taken is totally innocent. Not "deserving of punishment".

This difference will be observed in people who believe in a punishment and reward model of life. It is not inconsistent for them.

Maybe they feel that children are born innocent and deserve to live wherease death rowers are guilty of heinous crimes and they apply the "eye for an eye" punishment.

an embryo and/or fetus did nothing wrong. A murder is just that, a murderer.

How can liberals be against war and the death penalty, but kill innocent babies.
