Not very much beside keeping the face clean. Is it possible it is too warm in your house or wherever??? I found that my baby gets it when it is warmer out.

There's nothing you can do. Just wash the baby's face twice a day with a soft cloth with only warm water on it, don't use any cleansers. And of course wipe around the mouth after the baby eats. This is something that will just have to clear up on it's own. And please don't put any cortisone creams or acne products on your baby, those can be harmful. The acne is just your baby's body reacting to your hormones that are starting to leave his/her system now. Once all of your mommy hormones are out of the baby's bloodstream, the acne will be gone too.

My girl had this happen too. The pediatrician said nothing to do about it, caused by left-over hormones from you that she is still trying to rid from her body. She said DO NOT scrub her face, this has nothing to do with clogged pores or anything. Perhaps put a little bit of what you used for your baby's belly button to help healing if it's bad. After a few weeks or even a few mths, it goes away without leaving scars.

baby acne is very common. I'm not really sure if theres much you can do about it, it will eventually go away on it's own. maybe just make sure his face is really clean and wash it with a little water. That might help, if not it will go away soon.

My daughter is 6 weeks and has baby acne pretty bad. Our Dr. told us to buy the mildest form of benzoyl peroxide (like clearasil) and use it on her once a day or every other day. We had to search a little to find any under 10% benzoyl peroxide but we finally found 2.5% in Stridex benzoyl peroxide pads at Walgreens. It isn't totally cleared up, but it has helped.

What I did was wash his face with warm water in the morning and of course during his bath. That is pretty much all you can do. It goes away on its own within a few months if not sooner.

Nothing really you can do about this. When we went for our first Dr.'s appt. they said you could try some 1% hydrocortizone. But, I would wait til the doctor said it was alright before I put alything on my baby.
