I have called someone long distance every day for the past 2 weeks, but only talked a few minutes each time. My boss knows that I know someone in this particular town, so I can't hide that I made the calls. Should I tell him that I have made these calls prior to him receiving the bill?

Be careful. If not, you'll be the first to go when compay down sizes. Others had good suggestions, follow them and cross your fingers.

Absolutely, and offer to pay for them before he gets the bill. then apologize and assure him it won't happen again and Don't Do It Again.
