I know people that take a pregnancy test, got a negative result and turned out to be pregnant. I think it was about 4 weeks and the doc said the reason was that there was not enough pregnancy hormone in their system to be detected by the urine test

I had 2 positive tests, and at the doctors it was negative, and the blood test was positive .. only thing I can chop it up to is the urine being too diluted and because I am only 4 and a bit weeks

I took one and it said negative then took another 2wks later and it said positive. I still went to the dr and they said positive as well....I am currently 29wks. I just tested too early and there wasnt enough of the hormone to be detected by the home test the first time. It also depends on what time of the day you test too. Test in the morning and make sure its the first time you urinate....

I am 37 Weeks Right now , I had at least 4 neg's until i had a very faint positive , I was aware of being preg way before i was due to start my next cycle. Its all dependant on your HGC levels.

Yes, it happened to me....I wasn't very far along (less than 1 month). So always go to the doc if you think you are pregnant. Don't waste your money on countless tests which might give you conflicting results. Go straight to the source--your doc! You will know beyond a shadow of a doubt if you truly are. Or you can go to a clinic like Planned Parenthood. They keep everything confidential.

I've taken test where they came back negative but I actually was pregnant. You need to make sure you take the test with your first morning urine, this is very important.

my best friend took countless tests and they were all negative. by the time one came out positive she was already 9weeks pregnant.

it is possible due to when you test but false negatives aren't that common.

By the way, first response is a horrible test. They actually aren't that sensitive. I always so go with the ANSWER brand from walmart. It measures at 25mlu so its more sensitive than first response tnad ept.
Good luck!

It happened to me, I took one and it said negative, i was a wk or 2 late, then like 2wks later I took one and it had a very very light line, so I wasnt sure, so the same day I went to social services and took another one and it said negative!! I was so unsure! so finaly i went and got the most expensive one, and it said positive.....and it was right!

Oh ya, try the one that just says pregnant and not pregnant, that way you dont have to worry about trying to see the stupid line....

With my daughter, I got negative results until I was about 11 weeks pregnant. (I had a normal, uneventful pregnancy and birth and she's just fine at 22 months old.)
