I agree, very few politician are worthy enough to even hold office. Most are corrupted and use politics to further their own goals and interests. There are some that seem to be honest and trusting, not that I know of any, but those are probably the non famous people. I think we should all start supporting the little man or woman, they could lead us to a better society.

Emphetically not, We have a system that allows the politician to be the final say and in such the technician is ignored which makes things difficult for everyone, but the politician is not currupt, just power ignorant. We have to understand the availibility of power if we want the system to work effectively, and this happens by we ourselves moving away from the "Me First" mentality. It also helps that we monitor the rewards our politicians keep for themselves; are they bigger than what we get, and if so, why, do they not represent us? When we find abuse of the system we need to have an authority that can stop that abuse in the bud and we don't have that effectively. Like a few years ago, it was found that congress people had a creditcard they never had to pay off. What idiocy is that and do they still? There not currupt, were just lax in our vigilance.

I abandoned both of them years ago, just minutes after being exposed to the principles of the Libertarian Party.
see: http://www.lp.org
A principle is a basic precept that guides future behavior. Unless you count their desire to win elections as a precept, neither the Republicans nor the Democrats actually have any.
Democrats are for the working man? Then why do they pursue policies that send jobs overseas, and live lifestyles that ensure they never have to sit down and eat with a working man?
Republicans are for smaller government? Then why do we have so many federal agencies that are pursuing goals that are not allowed under the Constitution?
I haven't voted for anyone with a (D) or an (R) beside their name in over ten years. I'm not playing "lesser of two evils" anymore, it just ensures we will continue to get bad choices.

Yeah, but still, voting is what makes America a democracy. Giving up your right to vote gives up an even more important right: the right to complain in an argument. All political parties are corrupt, but go to a website, and decide which ones have more of the things you beleive in in common with you. That way, when you say "I hate Bush" or whatever, they won't have a really great comeback. Vote for everything, even little things, and it will make the world a better place. Still corrupt of course, but still.

I disagree. You should pick up a lantern and start wondering the Earth like Diogonese.
I don't vote any more, but not for the reason you're talking about. I don't vote any more because of the corruption of the U.S. Supreme Court Justices, not because of the elected people in the legislative and executive branches.

Seems to me that all politicians have more than one face. They no longer answer to their public but the lobbyists and special interest groups. I would love to find a candidate that was actually FOR the people and didn't sell out all the time. Robin Williams maybe? He has some superb views on what we should do! Maybe it is meant as humor but alot of it is really true! Or George Carlin. Weird-o maybe but he has some great ideas on how to take care of things!
Let's have a Williams-Carlin party. Their platform would be good for all of us!

By far, seems like no one is good anymore. I think it sure seems like I am voting for the candidate that I think isn't the worst and that is not a good way to vote! WE need more third party candidates and election reform!

The Democrats are still better than the Republicans, but both are corrupt because of the corrupting influence of campaign contributions

not all are corrupt and not worth voting for. the candidates that are not corrupt and worth voting for seldom get elected because they do not resort to slimy tactics and shady fund raising.
