What's a good vitman/medicine/remedy for your mood during "that time of the month"? I feel like I want to cry, even though everything is going great right now! I know it's just a pms thing, but it's frustrating being so emotional over nothing...

talk to your doctor about whether an ssri antidepressant would be helpful to you. ssri's have been shown to be effective for the mood changes that precede the menstrual cycle. if your symptoms generally occur in the 14 days before bleeding and subside when the bleeding starts you may have what is known as premenstrual dysphoric disorder. the great news is you dont even have to take the meds all the time, for some unknown reason they work even if only taken in the 14 days before the menses.

A good cry, nothing wrong with that. it's purging both mentally and gets rid of some toxins in the process and you'll feel great afterwards.

I take venlafaxine - an SNRI antidepressant - and I swear it stops those horrid pre-menstrual mood swings.
