There has never been a referendum or vote in Scotland that would allow us to be self governed, completely separate from The UK, we have never had a chance to choose, or we would be free !!!!!- Nick F.

Yes. Eventhough in a different sense to what you are saying. When accessing the internet all freebies and stuff worth talking about is only available in United states Of America whereas Europe is backward in this sense. And most stuff i want will not be shipped to europe.
A United State of Europe may bring us as much advancement as America but I presume a proper united europe would have one main governing body with subdivisions such as the states are in America.
At moment the european union has all states such as Ireland making own rules with European government issuing guidelines so in a sense they are not really united.
A united States of Europe would greatley increase Knowledge transfer and make a powerful and economic stable economy and increase my FREEBIES on the net.
So yes I am all for a UNITED STATES OF EUROPE.

Does the term "European Union" mean anything to you?

and AFAIK the only thing preventing Scotland from having self goverance is that they keep voting to remain a member of the UK

NO under no circumstances. We are an Island that can stand on its own two feet. Why should we give our hard earned cash to Europe. The sooner we get out the better.

I believe the people of those countries should decide if they want to do like the US of A. It will cost something just like it did the forefathers of America, many who ended up penniless and who's families as well as themselves died. And who is to say that they want to name it United States of Europe. It would be their country and they could name it whatever they like.

Absolutely not. There should be no USE. Scotland and wales can be self governing as long as all the scots and taffs leave our parliment......Especially Gordon Brown
