I was just wondering about this. If so, how much do you use? Regular detergent is just so much cheaper.

we used up the end of what was left of our old stuff before we replaced it - the guy said that we could but use like 1/4 of what you would normally use

I used to work at Sears, and it is not recommended to use regular det. You need to use the HE detergent. It can mess your washer up. That's what the Kenmore Rep. told me.

We do, you will have to experiment with the amont, depending on the brand
