I had "morning sickness" throughout my ENTIRE pregnancy with my son (it was brutal, beleive me). Typically, the sickness lasts about 14-16 weeks and can go on all day, a few times a day, can be triggered by certain tastes or smells, or for the lucky few of us, not at all. They do have a pill though that helped me get through those long 9 months of sickness. They are called diclectin, and you need a prescription for them. They are basically glorified gravol for pregnant women, with no harmful affects on the baby. They are very expensive though (in Canada, about $2 a pill) and you need to take about 4-8 a day to control the nausea. So, if you go this route, I hope you have a lot of money or a good drug plan. I hope this helps!!!

I'm not sure why they call it morning sickness because it can happen anytime of the day or night. It can last all day, couple of hours, or even just a few minutes. Some days are better than others but just hold in there because it usually goes away after your first trimester.

mine have only been in the morning. Only 4 times. 3 in the 2nd tri and 1 in the 3rd. I would usually loose my breakfast, then be ok- so for about an hour

ALL DAY...mine's gone now since I'm 16 wks. It usually ends in the second trimester. The only thing that made it better was eating -- which is the last thing you want to do when you're nauseous.

depends I suppose.. the other day I was nauseas for the whole day, until the evening, then it disappeared. Comes back once in awhile, lasts for maybe an hour, and goes away again. No throwing up yet for me =)

Mine lasted two weeks straight. I almost starved to death until I found out it was morning sickness. Best thing to do is to eat little and often and nothing with really strong smells.

It just depends. It can vary from day to day. I was one of the lucky ones who never had morning sickness.
