It certainly is poetry. Although I don't write in rhyme often. Try a free-form poem they allow you much more freedom.

I think it is true poem in form and rhyme. Just remove the dots and replace them with comas.

sense the time!
It may be on time
but for all time -- I'd say it may be
-- a poem!

Yes, and it's good.
I would add a few commas, if you intend to publish it and not speak it.
