Why do people answer obvious fake questions with 'real' answers?

And yet the answers all deal with her like she's actually telling the truth or something - a quick look at her profile would tell anyone that she's some bored 10-year old. I think the questions are funny because they're sooooo over the top - but the answers - man, these people take any opportunity to rage about how mistreated she is LOL!

So, do you guys actually believe these stories, or do you just chuckle and move on?

I have no idea what your post says. The only thing I do know is that if you are a 54-year old guy, man the educational system has been in trouble a lot longer than anyone thinks.

luvlisteningtomusic - You and I have vastly different ideas about what's well-written LOL! Yeah, the grammar's good and the words are spelled correctly, but that just means she pays attention in English. Her writing (or his?) indicates a 10-year old level of maturity. So I guess technically they could be like 60 and just really immature? LOL! Who knows! So the 10 is more of a reference to his or her mental age...

some people just chuckle, but this is a pretty sweet set up for people to get some good advise in a discreat manner, i know half the **** i answer is bogus but i'd rather give real advise any way just incase, but there is some funny sh#t on here

That's interesting, because I noticed the string of questions by this user over the last day or so. I did click on her profile and read all of her questions. Taken individually, I can see how someone might be fooled once; one of the reasons people come to this site, I believe, is to bask in the weirdness of other peoples' lives. However, the user is pretty clever. She throws in enough detail to make an outrageous question SEEM like it just might be real. Another thing she does that throws people off is that she makes her questions long -- she really puts a lot of effort into crafting them. Most of the joke or obviously fake questions here tend to be very short. Personally, I'd like to know who the person really is, and what she's getting out of posting her made-up questions. In answer to YOUR question, though, I did not answer her seriously, nor would I -- I just don't get anything out of feeding somebody's games.

LOL, I wonder the same thing. When I come up on one, I just laugh at all the serious answers some people give. Then I move on to the next serious question.

I laugh. It is hilarious. I think people are trying to get a quick couple of points and move on. Some of these questions....and especially the answers show that some people have WAY too much time on their hands!!! =)

Thank you, I thought maybe I was the only one that noticed all her questions were posted yesterday it's really sad because there are women in this world with real problems like those and I don't think that is it really something to be made a joke of.

Everyone is trying to get 10 free points, make it to the top of "Yahoo's answer list" (and get nothing for it) and it shows that we all have nothing better to do than play with our computers at work!

A lot of us don't bother to look at their profile because it's too time-consuming... we'd rather just have our enjoyment, answer the question & go on from there.
