well I may have a way with words, depends on the time of day and my female mood. Some days I am superb, others I dwindle to mere mutterings.
That being said, I can however have my way with you! hehe. Would that work for you?

Yes, some have a way, some do not. Some, like me, fall somewhere in between. It is a gift, having the right words for all occasions, and it is something we can improve upon with experience, practice, and of course, there are classes one can take to improve on that gift.
I was listening to some co-workers banter the other night, they had me snickering. they were very fluent, the gentleman was pretending to be a ego inflated studdly person, the others were thinking up ways to dissuade him from his notion. It was cute. He is married, 30'ish,with 3 kids, one on the way.. His stud days are long over, and he was the most aware of it of all of us.
I have been working on my own fluency, guess where? Answers has helped a lot, and as a side effect, helped my typing skills.

Maybe. Though I don't think it is directly related to any innate capabilities because there are so many things you can do to avoid those "...umm...I can't think of the word..." moments.
Probably the best thing you can do if you have those moments in every day conversation is pick up a newspaper or magazine every once in a while and read it all the way through. Just by doing that, you become familiar with everyday topics and the vocabulary that goes along with them.
If you want to sound smart to all your friends, start reading literature and you'll start picking up big words and smart tones in your speech.
Basically, wherever you have problems, expose yourself to that type of language more.

Dude, have you read the questions and answers on here? Obviously, some of us do and some of us don't. And it's a good thing, too--we all have our own particular skills and it makes me feel all groovy and smart to be good with words. Then, when I read a totally incoherent crazy question, I can just type, "Huh?" and get two points! Wheeeee!

You know as in "get away from me, you moron".
So we are very similar, you and me...
