It seems to me that the Democrats when pinned down on any issue will resort to "I hate Bush" or "Bush is an Idiot". I hate to be the one to point this out to them, but the reason Red states vote the way they do is because they tend to have common sense and traditional values. Blue States tend to be in favor of Gay mariage, abortion on demand, Higher taxes, More Government, etc,etc. You know the scariest words I can think of? Ladies and Gentleman please rise for the speaker of the house of representatives, Nancy Pelosi.

Do your typical southern values include jobs-outsourcing, shifting taxes from corporations to individuals, and paying for government by borrowing from China? Because that is what needs to stop - and the Democrats are going to stop it.
These ARE issues - not Bush bashing.
Do your typical southern values mean abducting people from friendly countries, secretly torturing them, trying and sentencing them in secret trials with secret evidence? Because members of our CIA are under charges in Italy and other countries for being filmed doing that and for people they grabbed by mistake, who's governments forced the US to give back. Dems are going to put the sense back into prosecution of terrorists by collecting solid evidence and THEN getting warrants.
Do you have any idea how many experienced intelligence people have resigned rather than work at risk of lawbreaking?
Have you not seen with your own eyes what less-Government does in an emergency such as Katrina? Are you sure THAT dollar is better off in your pocket than responding to people who's homes have been destroyed?
I have no real hope of convincing you - who are AFRAID of Nancy Pelosi. You are too far gone into the dreamworld of Dems coming for your gun,bible,and snowmobile to see the real issues this country faces.

When you have no power your ideas and rhetoric are one and the same.
Bush has had full control of the government for 4 years.
We have borrowed $2 trillion more of our kids and grandkids money.
We have launched a war that has killed 2,700+ Americans and made terrorism worse not better.
We watched 1,000 Americans drown in New Orleans.
We provided a prescription drug benefit to seniors that primarily benefits drug and insurance companies.
Nothing was done on immigration.
Bush manufactured a social security crisis, which magically disappeared once the American people made it clear that they did not want Social Security privatized.
Why would anyone be surprised that the best "idea" Democrats have is:
"No more Bush "ideas""?

I am a Democrat and here is how we can get out of Iraq. I am only speaking for myself not anyone else who is a Democrat.
1. Announce that we will withdraw all our troops between Jan. 1 and June 30 of 2007.
2. Also announce that any country who tries to harm Americans or who invades Iraq during this period of time and for five years after the withdrawal will be destroyed by American bombs after notice to civilians to leave 48 hours in advance.
Case closed. We can leave after all.

The Democrats traditionally has been the party of "big ideas". Look at all the amazing advances that have been made during Democratic administrations. Our social policies have been totally shaped by FDR, JFK, & LBJ. We are a much better society for thier leadership.

you're not paying attention, Iraq re-deployment is the Dem's idea, a paper trail for electronic voting is too. read some the things Byron Dorgan has written on the economy, or Brian Schweitzer the Dem gov. of Montana's energy ideas. Bill Richardson of New Mexico could enlighten you on immigration. try to get your news & info. from someother outlets than fox news or limbaugh & hannity.

People get into political power by constantly being re-elected because they please somebody in their state, right? So, do republican politicians please you with dreams/promises of a better world, or going back to what life used to be like? I believe its the latter, and thats sad. Our world needs to change and your inability to do so, holds everyone back. Yes, you especial. So thanks for being the stick in the mud and electing somebody just like you, a coward and a sadist, yeah, thanks for nothing new. If you don't think your pal Georgie gets pay offs from the Arabs, Why is he special? Everybody else in his administration is in it for themselves, not us, just like you, right?
