They both allowed themselves to be killed for telling the truth (well, Socrates had some youth-corruption charges in there, too.)
And neither actually wrote the words attributed to him. Plato wrote all the "Socrates" stuff down (Socrates was his teacher), and all the gospels were written by other guys. I guess Jesus was a man on the go and didn't bother writing stuff down.
