It has 2 wheels, but how do the handle-bars part stay up without falling? and about how much do they cost?

It stands because of a vertical gyro which spins continuously, powered from the internal batteries. It stands for the same reason a top stands when it spins, gyroscopic action. If the gyro slows enough or stops, it will fall. These hit the market at $3000 or so. There is now a 2nd generation so the 1st generation machines are being discounted. Sales haven't been all that good for something which was touted to revolutionize the way we live.
