Rent her a good looking and well endowed guy for the night. She will really appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Hope this helps.

It *really* depends on how long you've been dating.

Girls tend to like pretty things that they wouldn't necessarily get for themselves (hence all the jewelry suggestions).

If you've not been dating for very long, and her birthday is still a couple of weeks off, see if you can get a friend to take a good snapshot of the two of you, then put it into a nice picture frame. Add in a single rose and a single good-quality truffle (like from Godiva) for the traditional romance of flowers and chocolate, and say a few pretty words about how you figured something that put the two of you together forever seemed appropriate.

Well us women are always expecting nice, thoughtful gifts on our birthdays. It also depends on how long you have been dating. So I would advise you to look at your relationship and what do you think about? It doesn't have to be expensive unless you are that type of guy. But make sure it is thoughtful. For example, my boyfriend picked out a bag full of inexpensive gifts throughout the week of my birthday that reminded him of me. Like Vic Secrets undies, skirts, chocolate, a pair of running sneakers, amd a CD that had just released and I think everything totaled to a little less than $100. Which she doesn't have to know how much you spent. Good luck.

That's a difficult one. It will have to be something only a boyfriend would get his girlfriend. Whatever you do, do not get her a vase. No matter how expensive and artistic it might be! (personal experience).

Jewelery is always a safe option. Also a weekend away or tickets to the theatre or a musical.

Whatever you buy make sure it is accompanied by chocolates and flowers.

A lot of girls actually don't like flowers. They see them as a waste of money because they will just die. Perfume, jewelery and clothing are safe bets. But try to be more personal.

Think about your girlfriend...

What are her likes? Does she have any hobbies or collect things? Any favorite type of food or music?

Prove to her that you do listen to her. So her that you know her & that you care.

Also it might help knowing what you price range is for the gift.

It depends on how long you have been together...
A few weeks - Dinner and a movie
A few months - perfume
Close to one year - Jewelry (a necklace or bracelet or a nice watch)
More than a year - a trip for the two of you and nice jewelry (or an engagement ring if you think she's the one)

If you are just dating give her some flowers (gerbers are nice) and a nice dinner. If you have been dating forever then stop farting around and ask her to marry you while at dinner. A gift certificate to a spa is nice too but then again I have no idea what her persona is.

A gift card to her favorite store. Or a Visa gift card if you don't know what her favorite store. Or spend some quality time getting to know her better so you don't have to ask this question.

If you are high school or younger, I'd say a few flowers, a hand-drawn, humorous card, and/or a casual date (movie, pizza dinner). i.e. enough to show you care, but not so much that you overwhelm her.
