Hi i have a cannon pixma MP110 and sometimes it just wont print. Sometimes it comes up with a dialogue box saying colecting printer status. It then will not allow the job to be canceled. Then once i restart or turn off and on my PC it prints off all the documents ect that i wanted to print before. How can i fix this??

If updated drivers don't help I've had good luck in the past fixing this exact problem by turning off bidirectional support. If you go to the Printer Properties, Ports tab, uncheck Enable Bidirectional Support.

That is a driver issue. Go to the website and see if there isn't a newer driver than the one you are using.
