Typical Republican spin. Foley was the perv who was sending the messages, Republicans enabled him. That's who endangered children. That's worse than blaming the Democrats for voting for Bush's war. I can't imagine the Democrats would sit on something like that. They would have exposed him in a second. The Republicans are the only ones with reason to hide it. For this kind of thing to go public would greatly damage the reputation of Republicans, and during a time when they are struggling to keep control of Congress they wouldn't want anything to hurt them more. To Republicans the only tragedy about this situation is that Foley was caught, not that he committed the act to begin with.
