Mmmmm...questionable. I believe the morning after pill basically makes it so that the fertilized egg doesn't implant in the uterus (there could be more than one type, so I would check the type you actually took). Depending where you were in your ovulation cycle (exactly where in the fallopian tube the egg was when it was fertilized), if you were further along in the cycle and the egg was right at the end of the tubes or in the uterus itself, the egg could have made it down into the uterus and implanted itself in the lining within those few days, in which case it would have been too late...

OR it could have been early enough in your cycle that the egg didn't make its way down before the morning-after pill was taken. If the second scenario is how it happened, then it may have worked. But you can't know for sure unless you get a paternity test, having had unprotected sex with two different partners so close together.

Good luck!

Depending on which pill you take they can work up to 72 hours after sex. You may have been pushing it with the three days. Maybe you should start using protection. Condoms are not that damn expensive. There are also places where you can get them for free. YES FREE! There are so many options that it shouldn't have happened the first time much less a SECOND time. Obviously since you are pregnant the pill DID NOT work. I think you need to be A LOT more careful. like the saying goes "Once, shame on them. Twice, shame on you"

no form of birth control is 100% effective none!
What is the morning-after pill?

The morning-after Pill needs to be taken within 72 hours after unprotected sex.

Although lots of people talk about the morning-after pill this term is actually very misleading.

Why? Because in fact, you dont have to take this pill on the morning after having sex. In reality, it is fairly effective for up to 72 hours (three days).

However, the earlier you take it the better; it works best if taken within 24 hours of unprotected sex.

Youll probably find that any chemist, nurse or doctor to whom you talk will call it The post-coital pill - or PCP'. Other professionals call it the emergency contraceptive or EC'.

The one which is currently (2006) used in the UK is called Levonelle one step or Levonelle 1500. It contains a female-type hormone called levonorgestrel - which is one of the ingredients of several types of contraceptive pill.

What does it do?

It stops you from becoming pregnant at least, in the vast majority of cases. Its not 100 per cent effective, but the failure rate is quite low probably about 10 per cent, and rather better than that if you take it as early as possible.

The PCP is believed to work principally by preventing your ovaries from releasing an egg, and by affecting the womb lining, so that a fertilised egg couldnt embed itself there.

In Britain and many other western countries, it is not regarded as an abortion-causing drug, but as a contraceptive.

Who is it useful for?

Its now very widely used by women (especially young women) who have had unprotected sex. And in particular, it has proved of value to:

rape victims who should insist that they are given it (unfortunately, in Britain the doctors who examine raped women have sometimes been rather slow to prescribe it).

couples who have had a condom break.

women who have been lured into having sex while under the influence of drink or drugs.

Is it dangerous to use?

Not at all. If anybody tells you that it has lots of side-effects or makes you dreadfully sick, dont believe them.

There was an older form of PCP, used back in the 1990s, which did often cause nausea but todays PCP causes very little trouble at all.

You might feel a little bit sick after taking it, but only about 1 woman in every 60 actually throws up. (And if that happens, you simply ask the doctor for another supply.)

Uncommon side-effects (which personally Ive hardly ever seen) include:

headache

tummy ache

breast tenderness

vaginal spotting of blood

dizziness.

More details on the package leaflet.

Is there anyone who shouldnt take the PCP?

There are a few categories of women who shouldnt take the post-coital pill. They include:

people with severe liver disease.

people with a very rare condition called porphyria.

But for nearly everyone, the PCP is fine, and most unlikely to cause any significant problems.

However, please note that if you are taking the popular herb St Johns wort it reduces the effectiveness of the PCP so the doctor may want to prescribe a larger dose.

You need to take that morning after pill within 48 hours of having intercourse. I'm sure it would of worked if you would of took it sooner. Like the next day! That's why they call it the morning after pill.! Good luck and congrats!

First of all, someone besides 'this guy' didn't use protection.
Secondly, I believe it's called the 'morning AFTER pill' for a good reason. Thirdly, and I don't mean to sound sarcastic, but do you THINK IT WORKED?????????
