Bramble is the best of the few defenders that Newcastle have. They seem to have this thing about buying expensive strikers near the end of their career, or who are playing purely on reputation, and decide never to buy any decent centre backs. The best two that Newcastle have are Steven "The i've been shot in the chest with the ball, oh wait no it was actually my hand that it hit" Taylor, and Titus "c*ck-up" Bramble. It isn't all Roeder's fault, but in the next window he should look to pick up a few good young centre backs and look to bring them on within the following months to replace Steven Taylor and Titus Bramble.

Roeder does not have the best to choose from. I don't know why but lately Newcastle signings of defenders have not worked out, i.e. Boumsong and Woodgate. I think Roeder may have wanted to sign players here but with Owen getting hurt, and Shearer retiring he had to help out the strikers.
But Newcastle are midtable and not doing too bad. They should compete for a UEFA cup spot at least and maybe in january add a defender or two. Surely they did not buy Duff as a left-back.

On August 10th 2006 Titus Bramble scored another vital goal for Newcastle United in the UEFA Cup second round qualifying round with a thumping header against Latvian side FK Ventsfits. In the return leg at St James Park Titus gave a rock solid preformance in the 0 - 0 draw, allowing Newcastle United to progress in the UEFA Cup. I rest my case.

bramble and roeder are joined at the hip, both know nothing about football and the sooner you'se get rid of both the better for the premiership

well newcastle isn't exactly blessed with fine defenders, and bramble is the best defender we have. he is well known for his blunders aswell as the fact he is a good defender. in fact he is top defender if he had the brain to concentrate all the time.
we have moore, who wouldn't make it in a top team like us, ramage who is still young and too taylor.
bobby robson, souness, roeder and numerous mangers, commentators know of brambles quality, but he is famed for that lapse of concentration. what ideally bramble needs is a mentor, someone who could lead him in defence ie. woodgate/sol

Because like the manager he is the best that Newcastle can afford............Newcastle are a great dissapointment.
With a fantastic faithful following like they have they must have a massive revenue yet they keep appointing second rate managers who buy and pick whole new squads of second rate players and continually never win anything. When will they learn?

God Knows !, winds me up something terrible too, and we're in deep sh*t this season if he's gonna be in the squad for every game ?.
They should pack him off on loan to a small club and let him see what he'll be missing !!.
