I agree the Breakfast Cub is a classic. Almost any John Huges film from that era is good... another favorite of mine is Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure & Lost Boys are great too!... Heathers & Pump Up the Volume are two more fun ones...

Breakfast Club is a good one. Two other ones that I've enjoyed (and I'm NOT a teen) are Can't Hardly Wait and 10 Things I Hate About You.
Another one with Julia Stiles is Save the Last Dance. Has a good message.

Well, you have try have a scary movie of course, so go for the Frightners starring Micheal J. Fox and Andie Mcdoughl(sp?).
If I had to answer your question of what depics the lives of teens i would suggest "Where the Day Takes You" starring Dermont Mullrony(The Wedding Date),Laura Flyn Boyle,Balfazar(sp?) Getty.
"Powder" starring Sean Patrick Flannary. It depends on what kinda message you want these girls to get. "What Dreams May Come" is also a great movie for the girls. It stars Robin Williams. Not about teens but they'll eat up the sappy story and so will you.
