Spider costume: Leg ideas?

I want to be a spider for halloween, but instead of the usual "stockings stuffed with newspaper" idea for the additional legs, I'd like something a little more realistic. Any ideas?

paper rolls like the ones in wrapping paper or paper towels?
use these for stuffing or color them. The foam rolls in the toy section ?

TRY THOSE THINGS THAT FLOAT IN THE WATER, THEY ARE LONG.
