If an in law is cheating on spouse with an in law isn't it just best to keep it quiet? Especially with children involved? To tell would tear up an entire marriage and destroy the children. Any answers greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like the marriage is already torn up. I would say if you have any control over the situation, you make sure it ends and then that the right and moral thing is done, which would be confessions. As far as the kids, imho I think they need to be in a home where mom and dad love each other and are honest. But just keeping it quite would be easier and then you could do it again later (just in case that was the answer you were looking for)

It really depends on the whole situation. Wouldn't you want to know? Children are pretty resilient so although they should be considered they are not the deciding factor. If you do tell, you run the risk of being blamed yourself, and if you don't when it finally does come out you are blamed for not telling.

Personally I would tell, simply because I would hate to think a spouse was cheating on me and people knew and kept quiet. Good luck with whatever you decide to do

That is such a touchy subject. Here's the problem... If you did tell, how would they react? They now might put you in the middle. My personal opinion is that when that kind of thing is happening it's exhibiting much bigger signs of trouble in their own home. Here's what you might do. Confront both of the cheaters and tell them that you know. Tell them that you are not comfortable with their situation. Say you will not interfere, however, if asked, you will not lie.
That might get them thinking about what's really best for every one. Without causing a huge catastrophe. If they separate from their significant others that has to do with their actions, not yours.
Just my opinion. Good luck.

I come from a small town and this is really happening alot. I would just stay out of it, your right it will hurt the children, but if the children are not involved then there is no need to involve them. It will all come out in the wash, and then they will have to answer for their actions. You don't want to involve yourself in this messy situation. Just keep the kids in mind.

Cheating is cheating! Why should in-laws allowed to do it? Do you want the person being cheated on being hurt like that and you know about it? What if they find out you knew, how would you like it? The right thing is to tell them especially if its in the family

Well if someone is cheating then they will always have the itch to cheat so I suggest just get it over with and be honest. Divorce is inevitable anyway when these type of people. Maybe not telling who the people are cheating with will make it easier.

yes keep it quiet. First you have to be 1000% sure, not guessing or ***-U-ME anything. Next are you sure the spouses DON'T know? If you must say something then speak to the so called cheaters only. not with threats but tell them you know and don't apperciate it.

Don't keep it quite. Tell someone. The spouses need to know.
