I'd ask them what reason they have for hating my country and what's so bad about what it stands for. I'm from Iceland and I have a hard time believing anyone would be so full of hate towards my country. Not liking some elements is one thing, hating it all makes no sense to me so I'd be curious.

My response is ' you're telling me this....why?" Most of the time people are feeling helpless about world events and are hoping to find some symbol that they can smash. the bad knew is that it's normally people. Just except the fact that they are in some sort of emotional distress and that they are not specifically angry at you. Not worry, everyone goes through this from time to time.

One nice thing about American is freedom - this individual has the right to leave the country. And I would tell that individual, "You don't like my country, I see you have two feet, so get out my country and waste someone elses time. We don't need people like you poisoning our country - go poison another country."

I would say my country is made up of many different people with different values, unfortunately like most countries we are represented poorley by our polititians.... do they feel that their country has a better political leadership?

I would say 'Great, but your comment is meaningless unless you first define what it is you think my country stands for, and then tell me why you have hatred for it. If you can't, or won't, you're wasting my time.'

Ignore them, it's only their opinion.
As for myself: I love my country, BUT I don't like the way it's being govrened or the ones running it.
