Why does a person who commits a murder then go an kill themselves? It seems like they had no problem killing the person, so why not stick around for the consequence?

Um. There's a serious problem with the previous answers and the question. You assume that the person killing is in the same frame of mind as you with the same manner of thinking. If someone's willing to kill, and willing to die, they probably are more worried about it being said that they were pathetic or otherwise wrong. Their way of thinking may easily block their perspectave from believing that what they are doing is pathetic or wrong. They will disagree with most who disparage them in a way that they see as logical, and cannot change. But they recognize that they won't be accepted by those other people (police, etc.) and see them as having the wrong perspectave, but having the power too, in numbers and firepower, the courts... So they want to do what they can and exit. They don't probably care about going through pain, or years in prision... They just don't like the idea of being 'misunderstood' in a flagrant way. So they just exit. After all, keeping this in mind, you should see that there's no logical reason to go through the negative consequences when you don't believe you're wrong.

I don't believe that anyone is really sick/despicable unless they have an actual chemical imbalance caused specifically by chemistry and not a negative past childhood, etc. But that doesn't make me hesitate in killing (painfully, quickly, slowly, whatever...) someone who's ACTIONS evoke such disgust in me. I think that seeing the person as a sick individual is ignorant. People shouldn't say this sort of thing. But that doesn't mean you don't fry the guy who does this sort of thing. Why not? If you do disagree with them, why not kill them? Because they're not really sick or whatever? So what?

Better yet, why don't they just kill themselves and leave others alone? It is a very sick world out there. I do worry about what my children and their children will see, hear or experience. It would be nice if everyone could find their own personal peace in this world, believe and trust in God and live happily ever after. It's a shame that will never happen.

Most people who go out and murder a large, or even small number of people are mentally disturbed, obviously. If they are depressed to the point of suicide, perhaps they want to take others with them in order to make a name for themselves?

Who knows how insane people truely think?

I think that the mentally ill are shocked into a lucid moment and when they realize that they have taken another life ...they know that they can not bear the implications of what they have done....this is why the western world needs to reintroduce mental institutions to help these people. The Democrats closed all the mental institutions.

Some people are obviously scared of facing their problems human and just want to leave it all behind by killing themselves.
~Simple: too many problems and probably some issues with their heads

I think they had it in mind to kill themselves anyway. They are already suicidal...but if they do a mass media killing and then kill themselves...well, now they're immortal. They won't die in obscurity. In a sad and sick way, they'll die famous.

Its tragic all around.

Because they are totally insane, can't anyone get that? There is no figuring them out. They ought to be in an inpatient mental hospital but the Republicans have closed most of them.

they are chicken and don't want the chair. or maybe they just had it in their mind that they wanted that person to die before them and the last thing that they did before there own death was to kill them. there are a couple people that i think that on every once in a while.
