You know, there are animals that live LONGER than man, too. Some tortoises live to be a couple hundred years old. Some types of parrot can live for a very long time as well.

A mollusk species Arctica islandica at 374 years! It looks sort of like a clam.

Next is an Aldabra Giant Tortoise at 256 years.

Then the Bowhead Whale at 245 years.

the creature with the longest life span ever, is the water bear. a microscopic living organism which was found in some or other pharoah's tomb, uprooted and discovered it had hibernated and came to life when dug up. it had withstood earthquakes, severe drought, famine and can withstand atomic warfare (or so this discovery channel claimed). the amazing, microscopic water bear. (they were doing a countdown of animals with long life spans and ended up with this creature). so there you have it.

Who actually knows the truth behind how long these things live for... we die long before those turtles, so the ages are only estimates unless one person passes it on to the next and knows the exact day it was born and then celebrates all 200 ish birthdays..

i thinks its either the giant tortoise, or the sea turtle, but not sure. hope this helps
