GENs plus

i will not give you a direct link, this is very hush hush, and whatever you do DO NOT ASK WHERE YOU CAN GET ROMS. (try and google the name of the program, it is free to download, and its also a sega CD emulator, and a 32X emulator.)

free is legal

and as long as you OWN the game, the ROM is legal...but i wouldent go around showing it off....however there is debate about the whole digital copyright thing, the law says if you own the game itself (cartrige) then you can own the ROM for it.

the emulator itself is free to own, because you cant do anything with an emulator if you dont have ROMs.

Hummmmmm Munky you seem a little funky?

You answered a bit differently to Question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkvXeIwnS4yAoIcc8txDIq7sy6IX?qid=20061003121348AASrvCS

Generally the main problem with emulators is that your computer needs to be 10x faster than the system it is emulating. So for example, with a decent computer you can emulate a Genesis, with a good one you can emulate an N64, but it would take a GODLY computer to emulate ps2/Gamecube/xbox.

They aren't physically dangerous to your computer, but you have to be careful about copyright infringement. The general rule of thumb is that if you own the same product in real life, you can legally download computerized copies of it. (I do this with my old Sega games, because as any Sega Genesis owner knows, it is INCREDIBLY difficult to plug the controller in JUST SO that all the buttons will work. And it freezes. ALOT. So generally, a computer is just alot more reliable than the original system itself.)

NOT MY WORDS,

Now for my words, Emulators are free and benificial but........ Roms are the legality part, If you are willing to risk prosicution then download roms and play your heart out but if you dont want to risk it goto the flea market and buy used games.......

Good luck

Yeah, that's kinda really illegal. You aren't supposed to be downloading games instead of paying money for them. You could get sued like that, it's no different than stealing music. Instead, try subscribing to gametap, for a reasonable monthly fee, you can play just about any game in existence. (I personally don't use them, I just play my Sega games LEGALLY without their help.)
