Yes anyone can get it but the fact is that the vast majority outside of Africa with it are Gay and bi men.This is a fact not an opinion. When you look at the funding given to Aids as opposed to breast cancer it is insane. Our mothers and sisters are dieing at such an alarming rate but the research is so grossly underfunded.

I think it's a good thing they realize they are part of the problem. Hiv isn't just a"gay" disease, but there would be less of a spread of it, if all groups that do have it really put an effort into not spreading it any further. Aids is a disease that can be stopped, and people do know how to stop it. Why it is taking so long, I don't know.

No, that's nonsense. AIDS is transfered by people who do certain things. Those things may be more common among gay men (actually, even that site says that it's most common among anyone who's a part of a group that is traditionally oppressed--people who are logically more likely to turn to drugs or start sleeping around with everyone--stereotypes *cause* the disproportionate numbers!), but it's those behaviors that should be combatted, not a certain group of people that should be targetted.

I'm a gay man. Supposedly I'm at "high risk". I'm actually at *zero* risk. That site also says that everyone should be tested starting at age 13... I'm 19, and I've had zero oportunities to be exposed to AIDS. That there's even a possibility of a need to start at 13 is a problem, for *everyone*.
